Yoga is the union of body, mind, and spirit. Yoga is a state of being and once established in this state you will feel all the wonderful healing powers that you’ve heard so much about (emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being). Science is not the enemy of spiritual awakening but rather a potentially helpful friend. Western culture has welcomed yoga and meditation as essential components of a healthy lifestyle. Those who have tried it realize the genuine value added to their lives with regular practice. There are skeptics and even those who ridicule.
A great German philosopher once said something along these lines, every great idea goes through three phases before it is accepted. In the first it is rejected, in the second it is ridiculed, and in the third it is held to be self-evident.
The value that yoga brings to the mind, body, and spirit is becoming increasingly obvious to a mass of people in North America and around the world. So if you haven’t tried it yet, don’t wait too long for time to change your ways. And if you need an instructor or have a question, you can always ask.
